Joanne Smith

Joanne Smith was born and educated in Guyana. She trained at the Carib Advertising Agency in Georgetown and after emigrating to the Bahamas in 1980, worked as a graphic artist at Junkanoo Magazine and at Dupuch Publications. She was advertising manager at Nassau Motor Company before joining Media Enterprises in 1986. She is an active member of the Bahamas National Trust and the Rotary Club of East Nassau.

Neil E. Sealey

Neil E. Sealey was a geography professor at the College of the Bahamas from 1979 to 1995, and has worked closely with the Ministry of Education for the last 20 years. He edited The Bahamas Journal of Science – published by Media Enterprises from 1993 to 2004 – and is the author of six text books, including Bahamian Landscapes (Macmillan Caribbean 2006) and Caribbean World (Cambridge University Press, 1992). He was also editorial consultant for Macmillan Caribbean’s 2000 edition of Caribbean Certificate Atlas. He was educated at Oxford and London Universities.
